Aileen's workshop at Columbia

Aileen led an open rehearsal at Columbia with four of the actors from the show.  It was my first chance to see her actually direct something.

On the final Saturday of our stay, Aileen was asked to go to a big meeting thing at the Asian Center where the cast could meet Asian artists from New York.  Not being either asian or artistic, but feeling hungry, I skipped the meeting and arrived in time for lunch and a tour of the art exhibition.

We went walking through the East Village and found, almost hidden from the street level down some stairs, a delightful tea shop.  Nearby Aileen found a vegan cake shop
